Dengue couldn’t be prevented for ‘wrong medicine’: Obaidul

Shawdesh Desk: Bangladesh Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said that dengue could not be prevented in the capital due to ‘wrong medicine’.
At a press briefing held at his office, Obaidul said that dengue situation turned dangerous as it spreads out of Dhaka.
Obaidul, also road transport and bridges minister, also said that he had talked to the health minister for taking initiative for using effective medicine.
‘With wrong medicine nothing worked in the past, nothing will work,’ he said.
The minister also said that Dhaka South City Corporation mayor informed him that the pesticides used for killing Aedes larva was ineffective.
The minister also said that gave directive from the party to the parliament members and activists for holding meetings across the country to make people aware about dengue.
